My sobriety date is 10-11-12 and so I am early in recovery from alcohol and drugs. My drug of choice is Vicodin. I am taking Suboxone and I am in group therapy and individual therapy. My recovery focus for today is staying motivated. Just for Today I can do it.

your life awaits you. there are many good things to follow. plus you will learn to develop life coping skills to deal with events where you used vicoden to numb everything. i wish you well on your journey. hope you'll keep us posted.
what prompted you to get help, if i may ask. it will help us know you better.

I decided to get help because I have always struggled with drinking and it progressed to other drugs and I am tired of the drugs and alcohol taking over my life and I am tired of losing things in my life that I love. The Vicodin is my most recent drug of choice. It got way out of control after I was prescribe it for 2 back surgeries that I had in the last 3 years. Pretty much I had been on a constant Vicodin high for 3 years straight, taking more and more pills over time and continuing to take them when they were not needed any more for pain.
