I am addicted to smoking herbal incense. I have smoked weed off and on for about fifteen years and I totally ignored when people would talk about synthetic weed. I would taunt them in my mind "why don't you just do real drugs?" is what I thought. I thought they were faking being high and it was retarded. Boy was I wrong. We have been spending up to seventy dollars on this stuff a day, average 40 dollars. It has got a hold on me. Anybody else hooked to this stuff? Anybody beaten it?

oh lightbulb i am so glad you posted. the synthetic stuff, spice, etc., can be far more deadly than weed. surely you know?
Quote:
Both are advertised as being "all natural," safe to use and legal but, in fact, they are none of those things. They can be deadly.
There have been several sensational stories across the nation recently about people "going crazy" after taking bath salts or Spice and committing suicide or murder. In Texas, police say a suspect hopped up on Spice went berserk, killed a friend's cocker spaniel and chewed off "hunks of flesh" from the animal. Users are said to feel a surge in energy, a flush of fever and delusions of invincibility.
The American Association of Poison Control Centers reports a near epidemic number of calls from those who've had life threatening symptoms after using bath salts or Spice. In 2010, there were about 3,200 calls to centers nationwide. Last year, that number soared to more than 13,000 and a majority of patients were under the age of 25. These synthetically manufactured drugs can cause vomiting, hallucinations, and such high blood pressure that lasting heart problems have been reported along with cases of deadly heart attacks.
A.A.P.C.C.'s president Dr. Rick Dart says these drugs are among the worst his members have ever seen. "People high on these drugs can get very agitated and violent, exhibit psychosis and severe behavior changes," he said. "Some have been admitted to psychiatric hospitals and have experience continued neurological and psychological effects."

the state of florida for example has deemed these 'drugs' as illegal. too many deaths also are reported and the number keeps rising due to the effects on the human body. in addition psycosis.
i do hope you will give thought to the info. i don't think you posted except for your concern. please keep us posted. we care.

I've not tried it, but I have wanted to buy some. Now I know better. Thank you! Good luck with this, I know it must be very difficult.

Don't do it! (talking to myself) I have been having a rough time getting back in balance from all that smoking. I drank last weekend and it was no better. I had a craving for it today but when I told my husband he was like "No! Remember what it did to us!" I am lucky to have him to balance me out. So you smoke it Myvoices? Did it make you feel like a fiend? I had tried it several times before this month long addiction, and it really did nothing for me. I wonder what happened that made it so irresistible after. What was really bad was we have Bizzare Bazzars right next to us and it's everywhere (except when you're really fiending in the middle of the night lol) It was just too addictive to keep up, I would have spent all of our money on it if I could have. Glad that is over. Like I said, I still crave it but the withdrawals are faint now and I have control over myself now. Feels good to get away from it.

My fiance and I got hooked on that a couple years ago - it led him to go into psychosis. He suffered from sever paranoid delusions and eventually attempted to end his life. I would recommend going with a doctor for help with detoxing off of this stuff. It can be wicked. Sending energy your way, hope you do alright. It's tough, but if you can sweat it through the first three or four days, you'll be fine. Just stay the hell away from anyone who does it.

Absolutely agree! Still sober from that stuff. Thanks for sharing that with us Rorisan. It is nice to know I am not alone in this struggle.

<3 hah, funny, there you are again, lightbulb. You wanna hear something awesome? I have a store within walking distance that will let me run a tab. And trust me, I really want to be weak sometimes. I think next time I get that craving, I'm just gonna go for bud though - I know that Im probably not supposed to admit that but it's probably safer.

Lol, purely coincidence! This is like running into your neighbor at Wal-mart and then seeing them at the post office too lol. The pleasure is all mine I assure you I agree, just go with the natural stuff if you gotta do something.

From experience.....STOP. I have been clean from that garbage for 4 months. I have not been the same person since my addiction began. I had blackouts, while driving and now after 2 years of extensive smoking, my mind is foggy, I have no interest in anything, I can't focus on anything, I have social anxiety now. On and on and on. Please do your body and brain a favor, quit. The older you get, the worse the long term effects are....trust me.

I smoked spice for about 5 yrs. Initially I didn't have any problems with it, but that was before the numerous bans where they kept changing the formula. My brother also smokes(currently). Started out innocently enough. We both have chronic insomnia and found it to be a fantastic sleep aid. And at first we were only smoking it right before going to bed but as they kept "tweaking" the formula we found that we were smoking it more and more. It got to the point that I would be shaking by the time I got out of work knowing that in 15mins I'd be home and could hit my pipe. Same thing with my brother. And weekends forget it! Just laid around smoking getting absolutely nothing done and not caring either....eventually started missing more and more days of work to sit home and smoke.
Then about 2 mos ago we had ordered a batch of Geeked Up. I have never been so sick and in so much pain in my life. Same thing with my bro and another friend.
My friend and I have stopped since then but not my bro. Now we at least cpuld smoke weed to help with the withdrawal but my bro is on probation and can't.
I'm feeling helpless that I can't get him to quit. I'm watching his health deteriorate before my eyes. Any suggestions?

To all of you that smoke it STOP PLEASE while you can!!! This stuff nearly killed me. I have not used it for almost 2 years now but have not been the same since. I isolate ALL the time; have no friends and no interest in really doing anything and still get paranoid and am constantly working on trying to make that better but it's a SLOW process. I wish I would have NEVER touched the stuff. I look back now at pics of me the day I started and the progression that only a little over a year of heavy use of this stuff did to me and it disgusts me. I can't believe nobody tried to stop me; but then again I was so far gone so quick ppl around me just thought I was cracked out or something; yes it was that bad. It will make you into a WHOLE different person quickly and mess your brain up bad and make you super sick. I felt insane. So please, please take it from me and stay the hell away from this stuff!!! XOXO
