Well i have had so many addictions and mental health problems its just unreal to me! I feel i have my benzo addiction under control.I still have my core problem though.I was a everyday drinker I havent had a drink in a couple years now,it dont seem to bother me much.I come and go with painkiller addiction,I went for almost a year once without them.I got past the withdrwals but stayed so depressed and hurt so bad.I was so tired and fatiged even after months.Looks like im going back down that rabbits hole.Ive been awak for about two hours and ive had 2 loratab tens,a 600 mg motrin,2 goody powders,a muscle relaxer,a very small piece of klonopin and im hurting just as bad as i was when i woke up.So now i have my mind on trying to find me a 30 mg roxycodone and when i do it will help a little but only for a few hours. This is a awful cycle.Take nothing im in constant pain take something im addicted agian,it just aint right. And i do have pain not just addiction.I have 4 slipped disc in my lower back with severe inner swelling pinching the sciatica, arthritis in it and deteration. My mid back has a busted vertebrea and my neck has 3 bulched disc that crack and crunch when i move the wrong way so loud my wife has heard them. And now RA that ive apperently had for several years. Ive got my anxiety med in check dont even take what im given, but still have severe problems with it and depresion.I cant hold a steady job between my back and mental health but i do get a small dissability of 780 a month. That dont go far with a wonderful wife who is so good to me and a 14 yr old daughter in school.I have a 75 yr old grandmother i try to take care of who has just been staying sick for the last year. Our car has broke down paid about 700 to get it fixed and didnt even make it home in it.Its been broke for about a month till i got the money for the guy to not fix it.During this time my grandmother has missed drs apptments,my kid has missed school. Now i owe a 800 dollar electric bill with a cut off notice.I live in a rotting down mobile home with black mold growing everywere. Now if my addiction kicks back in i can go through 200 dollars a day in oxycodone and i really dont need them bills and people looking for me for there money. And I think im really getting depressed.Well thats all for me today gotta go cry for a while,Hope everyone else has a better day than me!!!!

You have GOT to get your addiction under control! I realize you have chronic pain. I do too, and have had it for 27 years. Plus I'm a RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC AND ADDICT. It can be done. You CAN take medications responsibly, IF you're willing!!! That's the key -- you have to be willing to do it RESPONSIBLY!! You CAN'T take them "as needed or as wanted." You have to take them AS PRESCRIBED. That's the only way you'll survive!

Do you realize you're slowly killing yourself? By abusing these meds, your liver is going to stop working one of these days, and I've seen that happen to my son and it's not a pretty sight. He was on life support for quite awhile -- it's a very painful thing when your liver quits. You'd better be more careful!

Do you have insurance to help with your prescriptions? If you don't, try calling Free Health Hotline 1-800-348-8754. I don't know what kind of help they can give, but it's worth calling to find out. I wish you the best. Take care and God bless. Hugs, Lee

leejoseph Welcome!!!!!!!!!I know what its like to be in pain all the time, I also have degerative disc disorder and am on Loritabs. I also have several mental issues and am also on prescription meds for them too. I would do what Leed says and call that number, there maybe a way to get your pills for cheap or even free.Another thing is to do as take them as precsribed, not as whenever you want. Could you do a hospital stay for a medication change? Well I hope you do ok and will pray for you too!

I was a heroin addict for many years and also have chronic pain and mental illness. When give OxyContin or oxycodone or the such in the early years I abused the hell out of it. My psychiatrist talked with my pain doctor and decided on long term pain patches such as duragesic. The idea behind it is you where the patch and change t every 72 hours but you don't have a bottle of pills you can overtake or abuse. This may not work for everyone but it did work for me so just a suggestion. It does get easier with time. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

I have actaully bought a few patches before when i didnt have anything and couldnt find anything else. And they do work great I put one on and felt great for a couple or 3 days. But getting a dr to give them to me just would be impossible here were I live. There closing a different pain clinic down every week. They dont care that some people do have pain!
