96 days clean and sober today!
No one said it was going to be easy and they couldn't have been more right. The last few months have been some of the toughest I've had to face. It's almost like I'm learning how to live life all over again. I knew getting clean was going to be a challenge. I had tried to do it many times before. This time has been different. This time I've had the willingness to do whatever it takes to get and stay clean and I've done just that. 96 days ago I was in the ER getting ready to head to detox. I was just going through the motions. At that point I really didn't see any light at the end of the tunnel, but was tired of the vicious cycle. The emotional roller coaster of coming down and with drawls were insane. That alone is enough to keep me clean. I don't want to go through that again. I now use all the energy I used to get high to stay clean! Today I can honestly say that I feel good. I look and feel healthy, I've been back to work for a month ..even got a new job offer yesterday. I accepted! It's a great feeling not having to worry about a drug test! The people I choose to call my friends today our healthy positive people and they have helped me become that as well. I could go on and on about the positive things that have come out of getting clean. Life has taken a 360 degree turn and I'm truly grateful for all that I have. |

Big Congratulations Justbyyou. 90 days is great, and you're right getting clean and sober is incredibly difficult, and it is learning how to live all over again. But it's so worth it. Keep up the good work, one day at a time, and it just keeps getting better.
