I'm really not feeling too good. Granted, I have a lot to be grateful for.
I feel like, as an alcoholic in recovery, I have to make more compromises than most people. I have to take my medication, or else I can't work the steps. When I take my medication I have trouble being creative. Does this mean that, in order to work the 12 step program and be a worker among workers, I have to give up music? Jazz is magic.....I want it to be in my life in someway forever |

I find this world is give and take. We occaisionly do have to up somethings to get others. Right now I have lost my creativity, but the medicine hasn't taken it away. The black dog named depression has sapped all my strength, creativity and interest in anything.
I have been on meds and was creative, too. So there is hope. you might just have to switch meds. I hope you find your creativity again. ![]()

If your medication is taking away your ability to be creative, maybe you need to talk to whoever prescribed it about switching to something else. My medications do not take away my creativity.
