I can't believe I forgot to post on October 24. On that day I had 18 months!!!! A year and a half has gone by, unbelievable. The meetings here don't give out 18 month chips but there's a sobriety store in town and my boyfriend went and got me one. I know it's not a typical milestone celebrated in meetings, but a friend of mine in California says they give out 18 month chips at meetings and call them the whiner chip. It's a nice little present since you go the whole first year getting chips and then nothing till year 2 I forgot to tell you guys!!!!. So now I have that in my pocket. Hard to believe that a year ago I only had 6 months. Most of you have been with me since the very beginning and some of you knew me back when I used to "drunk post" and "drunk chat". Thank you all for being a part of my last 18 months!!

Congrats Ray.
The running joke in my home group is "Be real careful at your 18 months, that is the danger date!” Of course they also say it at six months, 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 20 etc. and always followed by lots of laughter.
Keep doing what you are doing, an keep getting what you are getting.

When I was coming up on one year, this guy told me "Remember the second year is the hardest and you don't have any credibility till 5" He was right about the 2nd year but man did I get a resentment about the year 5 thing, haha!

I am proud of you and how far you have come along. As you know it was not an easy trip but you are on your way there now. Congradulations on your 18 months, that's great news.
