Sometimes, I get into the habit of just posting “problems or “negatives” about my life. I hope people do not get the impression that sobriety is nothing more than struggles—it does have its benefits.
Today, I am grateful for my sobriety. Life is so much better when I am not using drugs or drinking. For me, the first year of getting sober was very difficult. At times I just wanted to give up. I am glad that I hung in there and stuck with my program. I still have struggles, but I am starting to feel more stable. My depression and anxiety are much more manageable. My job is going better. My relationships with people have dramatically improved. Not to mention, no more hangovers or guilt. I have hope—just a bit of hope for my future. Today, I am grateful for my sobriety and all the people that helped me along the way. My wish is that someday I can give back to somebody the gifts that were so freely given to me. Anybody else out there feeling grateful today?

Glad to hear your gratitude. It reminds me to always be grateful for something. Keep at it a day at a time.

I try to always live in gratitude as well. I just woke up so I'm a little foggy, but I'm grateful I woke up sober and had a good time with friends last night that I remember. =)
Happy Birthday!!!!
