Good luck! And congrats on going a day without one. I'm 54 years-old & quit cold turkey two years ago. I'm amazed at how much money I've saved & how much better I feel. That nagging persistent cough is gone & I don't smell like an ashtray anymore. It's odd that once you stop smoking you can smell which people are smokers. Keep up the good work!

Good work Buttercup…I so admire anyone able to make the decision and have the conviction to break any destructive habit. Even if you falter, just remember to never give up giving up…you will get better at it each time. Good luck to you.

I want to quit also. I finished a pacl earlier this afternoon and i'm determined to make it my last. I'm happy to see a kindred spirit. Stocl up on the nicotine gum!

I want to.quit too. How do you stop smoking ? Did you go to your doctor or chemist or did you just stop on your own ?

I'm thrilled to hear this, Buttercup! So happy for you. I quit cold turkey in 1991. Doctor made me sooooo mad that I quit, fueled by my anger. Whatever it takes, eh?
