Hey, you’re no schmuck, the title says “wise elder”
I feel like I’m on the verge of an earthquake though, with everything around me. All this pressure built up underneath. Things are going to change, some for better (hopefully) maybe some not, but after all is said and done, I hope things will be more stable.

Stability is a good thing! I lived a long time without much of it, but feel far more stable since I quit drinking. Having bipolar, I still have my ups & downs, but the lows aren't as low as they once were. Also, drinking 'till very drunk can lead to some very bad decisions (take my word for it! ). I don't know what the nature of your coming "earthquake" is like, but I hope you come out stronger on the other side. Good luck!
