My husband had a glass of wine, I had the rest. There's not enough lasagne in the world (with garlic bread) to cover that, "the rest". Dangerous place.

Perna, InaCorner is right....today is a new day. Don't beat yourself up...it happens. What is important is "what you do with what you have been given today."

Maybe you could take a look at what led up to drinking. When I relapsed, it was because I was not working a good recovery program. Each day, I have to look to see what I can do to keep myself sober for just that day. Not worry about yesterday or tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. I usually have a drink with my meal when I'm out at restaurants but don't normally drink at home. When I use to drink too much at home, it was because I was stressed and self-medicating; I haven't done that for a couple years so think I recognized the other night as a "flag" for me to pay attention to.
