I am so proud of my boyfriend. One of our “friends” was outside smoking pot and asked him to smoke some. Later she came up to him and shoved the bag of it in his face saying something like, doesn’t it smell good? She even called him twice that day trying to get him to buy some. My boyfriend did not give in. He started telling her how good he feels since he has been clean and that he likes being clean. I know that was really hard for him and it did trigger some urges, but he hung in there. And, he did what is right, he talked with me about it and got it off his chest. I am so glad he is clean and sober.

I admire his strength. Absolutely! How did he feel when telling her he is glad to be clean? Was he angry, frightened, anxious, proud -- a bit of all?

He said it with pride...sometimes I think even he is surprised that he quit drinking and getting high.

That's great and I admire his constraint in not going off on her :-) I think I would have if someone did that when I was struggling.

He sounds like a wonderful and strong guy. He should be proud.
