40 mg a night, on prescription.
Does that make me an "addict"? Oh please, may I have more labels?

I don't see how using a prescription that you've been given properly makes you an addict, unless you think you're addicted or have been misusing them. Besides, sleeping is kinda important!

If you're taking it exactly as prescribed, then no in my opinion that does not make you an addict. But if you start to take more than prescribed or start taking it just to get a high, then that's a sign that you're abusing it.
I don't know about tamazepam specifically, but some drugs are addictive - meaning that even if you take them exactly as prescribed you can become physically dependent on them. The benzo's are notorious for this. So if you do decide at some point to go off of it, be sure to talk to your doctor about how to taper safely. --splitimage |

![]() If you are not "adjusting" the dosage on your own, don't worry about it. It's a different matter if you are--somehow, I don't think you are misusing it, though. It's good for sleeping and relaxation, and that beats sleep deprivation in my book. Peace and Power, Cap
