So i have a big problem..i am never happy with my weight, no matter how skinny i may be whenever i look into the mirror its like im looking into a mirror at a fun house which is making me 10x my size. i work out for a least an hour a day and i dance 27 hours a week. I do ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and lyrical. I am very into musical theater and appearance is very important for both dance and musical theater. It's not that other people are putting pressure on me, it's that im not happy with myself. Guys tell me I'm "sexy" and girls tell me "i wish i had your body" but none of that matters to me, i am not happy how I see myself and that is what is so frustrating. I am not one of those girls that just wants attention by saying "omg im so fat" i truly honestly am just not happy with myself and idk what to do. please help if you can :\

I can tell you that it takes energy to be able to do all that dancing & exercise.....& when you allow anorexia to take over......you will be passing out & not able to enjoy all the dancing that seems to be important to you.....or is it only important because it's an acceptable way of exercising so much without people telling you you're exercising too much?

If you aren't into the restricting & the bulimia yet.....don't go there. Eat a good nutrition balanced diet so that you can stay healthy if are truly into the dancing things as you say you are......otherwise you will lose it & your life. You can't do that level of exercise & not eat without killing yourself....that's just a fact of life.

You need to first off set your priorities.....get a nutritionist to help you with your food. If you are truly having issues with the looks of your body then you need to get a therapist who knows how to work specifically with body dismorphic issues. If you have abuse issues in your background, that can possibly be where the issues with your body are coming from....if not, then you need to get specific help with your body issues by finding a theripist who specialized....otherwise, you need a good therapist who will work with you on your body issues.

i know how you feel. i actually got a huge lecture last week by a few girlfriends of mine who've said i'm either saying that for attention and if not i have a problem. i also do a lot of exercising - jiu jitsu 4 days a week and gym 5-6 days a week. i have an issue with eating, but it's because i forget or i'm just not hungry which is just as bad. i don't have any advice though since i'm kinda going through the same thing...
