It definitely might be better to have a T & a dietitian to hold you accountable rather than your father....someone outside the family where there are no emotional ties to.
Though your father is just concerned about you I'm sure....he doesn't realize that it's better to have an outsider be the one involved

Hi Beanbag. Yes, I agree with Eskielover ~~ you would benifit greatly from help or a T outside the family or anyone who's emotionally attached to you. It's just that they worry over you, but they don't know how to deal with eating disorders. They honestly think it's a case of "simply darn well EAT", but it's never gonna be that easy. If you could "just eat" without severe anxiety, you wouldn't have got where you are now! They don't "get" that eating and food to us is something we're really scared and frightened of, to the point of phyical flight or fight!! Love and hugs. Xxx

Sometimes those who want to help you the most end up showing up as part of the issues....not because they want to help but actions that have been LONG before NOW. Research has even showed that women who have had abortions for whatever reason have showed up with anorexia......any traumatic event or any event that had a negative experience in our life can end up being the foundation of where the anorexia comes from. Living with the anorexia is much worse than living through the work it takes to process why even though it doesn't feel like it at the time....& the help is worth it in the long run no matter how painful it might be or who/what it might point out in the process.
