I'm new to this lovely little corner of the internet. I was researching all sorts of stuffs about sociopaths and psychopaths and stuffs and stumbled upon this forum. I have to admit, I was a little intrigued by the prospect of socialising with other interesting peoples, and so I am here. brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.

About me: I am 6'3", blonde hair, blue eyes, and wear glasses. My favourite colors are; yellow, orange, and lime green. I am addicted to the unusual, interesting, and so forth. I am a sociopath. I sortamaybekinda wanna change or at least try. I also like kittens and cake.

So before I have a question for those of you kind enough to read my post. Do you believe yourself good/evil? Do you believe in such a thing? Do you want to change?

I personally do not believe in good or evil. To me there are just people. Good people do bad things bad people do good things blah blah blah. They are fictitious boundries created to distance themselves from reality.

I went on a rant, did I not? lolz. Its nice to meet everyone and I hope to be productive part of this community

PS: pardon any spelling or grammar errors on my part, I never payed attention in English class.

Define sociopath and psychopath and their difference.

I am good but good and evil is a moral-based concept in the mind, so it is what you fancy.

What do you mean you "sortamaykinda wanna change or at least try"?

And welcome

Are you trying to give me arthritis?

I am going to see if I change myself the "better" as it were. I am very much into self improvement, my personal motto is "There are no master only students".

Thanks for the welcome and your views

Welcome, Soulsmith. I like your username.

I have a component of my personality that is psychopathic. It is not the major part and I have worked very hard at trying to understand that part and include it in the larger me-as-a-whole. That is still a work in progress.

I’d be glad to try to let my psychopath interact with yours, if you want. Maybe we can both learn something? Also, are you interested in books? I’ve done a lot of reading about evil and empathy and could offer some suggestions if you want.

One question, though – do you like kittens to look at or pet or for some other reason? Since you distinguished people from their behavior that may seem like a silly question. But since you also identified yourself as a sociopath it seems reasonable to me to ask.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I love books, books are good

I am here for interaction with others who look at life through a different lens, so yes I would love to interact.

Kittens: I like kittens because they are small, fluffy and woefully ignorant of life. I like to pet them and watch them interact with the world sometimes. I in general like bright, happy, lively things.

PS: I am not sure if it unusual for a sociopath or psychopath to like bright, happy, things and kittens. We probably come in all shapes, sizes, and inclinations I imagine.

Why do you want to change? And why do you believe that that would make you "better"?

Why wouldn't I want to change? There is always room for improvement and change is inevitable part of any kind of improvement and at the very least I will learn something, and learning something is better then doing nothing.

Besides, I'm bored and discourse helps.

"PS: pardon any spelling or grammar errors on my part, I never payed attention in English class."

I barely went to school and could barely spell when I finished school at 16. (That's the school leaving age here in the UK, well, it used to be, but now they've changed it)

I taught myself English skills just by using the internet and forums and such, funnily enough.

I know an Italian girl who taught herself English, mostly by playing Final Fantasy games. xD

I left school when I was 15, bought my high school diploma online ...not that I recommend it to anyone. Stay in school.

1. Do you believe yourself good/evil? I'm an evil, dastardly creature that will summon forth the apocalypse because I don't abide by socially acceptable moral structures. That sounds rational, right?

2. Do you believe in such a thing? As much as I believe in Santa.

3. Do you want to change? To some extent. I'd like to be more readily functional instead of having to think every action through thoroughly beforehand to avoid wreaking havoc on my pretty lovely & humble life. But would I want to be like everyone else? **** no.

Hopefully that was an acceptable group of answers. Oh, before I forget... Welcome, warm greetings, salutations, & all of that ****.

Well, I can only speak for myself on this particular matter, but I rather like the way I am now. I find it quite difficult to understand why a so-called Sociopath would consider ridding themselves of their "sociopathic" traits to be an improvement in their personality.

Edit:

In answer to your original questions....no, no, and no.

Very good point, Shanz. If I may revise my answer in regards to your good point... I'd like to not have the bipolar **** so I can keep myself calm & under control. Not necessarily that I would change the ASPD. That actually sounds kind of impractical... It's much easier to remain logically sound without being burdened like regular people, no? You're much more likely to get through life unscathed if your vision & decisions are not occluded by irrational emotions & fears.
