I'm a relentless "detective" on my job. I make sure I'm aware of most of my reference resources in order to ensure patient records are as complete and accurate as possible.
Cool thread idea!

I am reliable. In both by personal and profession life. I feel like someone can always count on me.
This is a good post. Always nice to start the morning on a positive note. |

Neat thread ! I think honesty is one of my greatest strengths , I am what I am - all the time, no matter who I am with, I am always the same person. I always strive to be 100% honest, which sometimes causes me to step on others toes, but I would rather be honest all the time than be selective about to whom and under what circumstances.

Cool challenge Sarah!
My biggest strength is love of learning and intense curiosity. Notice my avatar. If anyone needs help identifying their strengths, there is an interesting test at www.authentichappiness.com that comes from Martin Seligman and his collegues at the University of Pennsylvania. Go to the site, register, and take the VIA Signature Strengths test. |

I've read some of Martin Seligman's work, took test last month, like his work quite a bit.
My strengths identified through the test are: Curiousity, love of learning, appreciation of beauty and excellence, and self-regulation. Definitely pegged me, as I read through the definitions and further info, I was impressed by how much the test showed -me-. And I like the idea of focus on our strengths, being aware of them and encouraging them.

You'd never believe what my strengths were --
Curiosity; love of learning; appreciation of beauty and excellence; critical thinking, judgement, and open-mindedness; and vitality (out of 24 possible strengths) I've always wanted to do a Ben Franklin on my life...you know, self-consciously develop virtues and see what happens. The project always seemed daunting because there were so many places I could start. When I made a list of all the virtues I thought were important, I'd end up with two dozen really challenging character traits that all seemed equally worthy of developing. Seligman's approach is nice because it gave you a rock steady place to begin by identifying your characteristic strenghts. He encourages people to NOT spend too much time trying to bolster character strengths that aren't already strong. Good stuff! |
