Hey guys. It's been one of those days. Could use a boost or two. I am in Hurry-UP mode and can't seem to get myself to calm down. My anxiety is skyrocketing.
Thanks

Helps me sometimes to grab a glass of water and make myself sit down. I count backwards from ten, slowly, checking in with my breath rate during. I also check to see how tense my shoulders are, then pull them down some and relax as much as I can. Slow drink of water.

Also helps to change my circumstances. A shower. Or a walk outside, making sure to check out what is going on up in the sky too.

Can imagine being in an elevator, pressing the down button, all the anxiety diminishing as you ride to your destination. I take a moment to pay attention to my feet, use imagery to ground myself, pull my energy back down and centered.

Thanks for the perspective Sarah! I am getting better now. Had a big quote I needed to get done and of course everything else had to get done at the same time. Self-imposed deadlines are killers for me.

I certainly know from experience how that is, sometimes my mind is my worst enemy. And often the ol' truism -when it rains, it pours- kicks in at the same time.

Good to hear that you are on the upswing now.
