The fragrant scent of basil helps to revitalise a tired mind. Keep a pot of fresh basil on or near your workstation. it will make the world of difference!

I am within walking distance from nursery (well, 30 minutes walking ...) I think I will go next week and buy a pot! I have had pots of basil before but they eventually expired (maybe I was waaayyy too tired for the poor plant), but I definitely want to try again. Besides - basil smells lovely and green is (for me) very soothing!

My essential oils guide says:[*]Rosemary for Mental Acuity[*]Mix Peppermint, Eucalyptus, and Lemon for Mental Clarity/Vitality

Basil is also considered soothing when faced with nervous depression, fatigue, anxiety, or hysteria.

Lavender is supposed to be very soothing. My t and I tried it. Instead of calming me, it makes me very angry, as does the smell of cinnamon.

FYI!

That is really interesting Jan! Wonder why that happens?
