I'm scared, really scared. I just had a bath and had a panic attack, I couldn't breathe and it didn't feel like it was me. I'm not sure what brought it on I think it was the water (long story). I got out as quick as I could but still struggled to breathe, still kind of am. I keep taking deep breathes but they aren't really helping.

I went in my room and I felt extremely vunerable and scared. I felt like I was about to pass out and it's the same now. I have eaten something but I still feel the same. This has really scared me and I don't know what to do, my auntie noticed and I said I was fine now but i'm not. I feel horrible and just want to hide somewhere.

I'm sorry you had a panic attack...those are so tough to experience! You mentioned that you were taking deep breaths...keep at it! Deep breathing is crucial to managing feelings of panic. Shallow breathing will only make the panic worse.

Is there any activity you can do that you enjoy, that could distract you from feelings of panic? Maybe listening to calm music, drawing, writing, reading. Anything that will make you feel better.

Also, keep posting here whenever you need to talk. We are here to listen.

I hope you are feeling better soon!
Thanks for this!

Hello Crystalbleach,

Panic attacks are just awful and they really set you back. keep breathing deep and slow until you start to feel you are returning to your normal self.

I know we're not there with you but you know you can rely on us to be here for you.

A distraction is one of the best things so as melissa said if you have a passtime you enjoy it will help you.

Wishing you peace,

Rhiannon
