i havent but i was watching a program on cbt(which i know of and have been talked about it before) this doc actually assisted and went with the girl to face her fear after having her perform some actions that similated the symptoms she feels when she is panicky. after performing the actions she felt that no these symptoms wont kill her, as we all know. i am going to check out that type of therapy as i could use a little help to. i guess first though i have to be willing to make a real effort too(ive only done many things half heartedly thinking they wont work anyway its too much for me to deal with) if this helps let us know as we all could use good ideas.

I don't know about the "program". Sounds like just a lot of reading or listening to tapes or something so you "understand" whatever they feel is the problem rather than it doing anything. I suppose they have exercises too, a workbook of some sort, to help put their theories into practice but I can't imagine it would be a whole lot better than other anxiety workbooks (or all the doctors would be prescribing it and it would be a "standard" treatment). I don't care for the author's education versus what she is saying the "cause" of anxiety is. That's what I would do if I were you; find a workbook I thought I could work with (check the library too) and go through it. But doesn't your therapist give you things to try?
