So ive had OCD for quite sometime since I can remember, recently I have aquired Social anxiety disorder about 2 years ago due to a depressive event that happened to me, now my thoughts revolve around not being anxious around ppl, is this my OCD doing the work?

Hi fleury! Welcome! Anxiety Disorders very often overlap and, definitely, your OCD could be fueling your Social Anxiety. Are you getting any professional help at all?

Wishing you all the very best!

Yes Im just beginning therapy soon, this week. But im just nervous about it, and since self diagnosing myself with pure O and SAD I have become depressed.. Ive talked to a guy who said after therapy I will change & my thoughts, i guess Im worried that my OCD wont be tamed, and that i have to live with SAD forever.

Fleury, from looking at your screen name (1991), are you 19? I was about your age when I started therapy for SAD. It will get better. I'm 29 and while I am still seeing a therapist, it has become more manageable. PM me if you need any advice
