Am I the only person that has a problem with certain kinds of food. I have been dealing with ocd this all my life. I feel so dirty around pet food. I am ok with regular people food. What is the difference? What is wrong with me? Is there anything wrong with animal food?
I am having so much trouble. Please help! My child loves pets, I have to fix this.

Have you found a good therapist yet? That would be my first suggestion. I don't know enough about OCD to suggest anything specific, other than to encourage therapy, maybe get some books from library on OCD too.

I know there is good help out there. Best wishes to you.

i second Sarahl's suggestion. and if you want...you can cook pet food. i do. brown rice, bones, mixed veggies (tomatoes, green beans, carrots, potatoes..they come canned like that). my cats eat that also. and i add fish to theirs. lots of garlic also. makes it smell really yummy. i even cook up a lot and freeze it...less messy. less work. i don't give the animals the bones, they are for the calcium and i add omega fish oil capsules, calcium tabs and vitamin e.

Thanks, that is a great idea to cook the food. I have spoke with a therapist once and I have been on paxil for one year. This has helped me a lot. I have overcome so much, but I still have a long way to go. This is a first for me to speak out, even over email. Your responses mean the world to me. Thanks
