since january i have been trying to find a decent job . somedays i couldn't leave the house but other days i would pull myself together and get out and try. I am onto my 2nd casual job this year and i don't get along with my new boss...this is a first for me. She gives me mixed messages and i am constantly on edge and soon i will have no confidence at all. Anyway i heard about another job and managed to get a trial...this was slightly different work and confusing but would be a better option for me. I am now waiting to know if i got that job...and at the same time my current boss is angry at me because she found out i applied for another job. I am so anxious and sick of the ups and downs. Its also hard because i live in a small town with high unemployment where everyone knows everyone. I am also sick of being the middle aged trainee i just so badly want to get on with work like a normal person. I am dependent on government income support too so i have to answer that department regularly as to why i don't get more work. I am doing my best it just never seems good enough. thanks for listening

Sadsackgirl Hopefully you will get that new job. It is to bad your boss found out about the other job, She can make going to work no fun at all. And being in a small town can even make matters worse. I feel your pain as I lived in a small town myself.
Thanks for this!

still all worked up... i got offered the new job except it turned out to be a dodgy deal, and my current boss wants me to stay which is ok except she makes me anxious. i am still under pressure to find more work but trying to take it one day at a time. I am trying to take it one day at a time, some days are just so hard though. THANKS to gma for replying to my post, and thanks for your support i really appreciate it.

i quit my latest job after just four days of training today. I am beholden to the government for financial assistance and am poorer than a church mouse. I need money to live yet my anxiety cripples me and prevents me from doing so. A viscous circle. I can't even take it one day at a time kid so you should be proud that you are able to do so. You recognise the problem and are fighting it. Keep at it and hopefully the momentum you gain will get you where you want to be
