Twice I think in the past week or two I have been about to fall asleep, then right at that moment where I was actually falling asleep, well... Do you ever dream that you're falling, then you hit the bottom and wake up really suddenly? It kind of felt like that but without the dream, I just suddenly felt all weird and shaky inside and felt like my stomach had dropped, and my heart started beating really fast and I was hyperventilating a little bit. It was really scary. I felt... Scared, and really nervous, but there was nothing to be nervous about. I am depressed but have not had a history of anxiety or anything, was I experiencing a panic attack? I also have a lot of trouble sleeping, and I am going to a doctor soon to talk to her about that and depression, so maybe I should talk to her about this too, if it could be something serious. Please help!

I believe this is what happens with "the falling dream". Our brains wake us up before we reach the bottom to prevent us from going into shock. But for some reason our brain can't do it subtly it gives you that jolt you described and I've always felt breathless and as if I actually just landed in my bed. I don't know if there's anything that can make that stop happening

I am sorry about your anxiety episode. I hope that you are feeling better today. I am not sure what happened to you, but obviously it isn't normal for you. I think that you are doing the best thing by going to the Doc. Get a professional opinion. Tuti
