Hi broken Wings,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you are having such a hard time.

You are starting a new job, which is excellent. Have you seen anyone about your social phobia by any chance? My first call for me was my doctor who was very understanding. One of the big steps is that you have come on here. You will get bags of support here. Take it one step at a time.

Hi Broken Wings!

Good for you on starting a new job.
I agree with Lady Bird. I would call your doctor, I am very certain you are not the only patient who feels likes this.

Anxiety sucks. I do a lot of self talk. I tell myself that I am not in any danger, that I need to be reasonable and I take deep breaths. It sometimes takes a bit but as long as I stay functional I am go with it.
I have had meds from my doctor but I am very sensitive to medication so I avoid them if I can.

I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I completely understand. That you have the courage to start a new job speaks absolute volumes to how much courage you have. I mean that. I'm having a hard time myself, but I find that doing certain guided meditations helps me. Even if your not into that kind of thing, it just helps a little to calm and focus you on more positive things. If your interested I could send you some that may help.

Everyone gets nervous about matters they are new to. It is no a big deal. Once you get going, you will recognise that you were all worried about nothing. Just be sure to do a few things whichever makes you relaxed.
