I had a real bad anxiety attack today after I saw my old boss at an expo. She is the one that used to verbally abuse me, and once even dragged me by the arm (harshly).
It didn't hit me until about 10minutes after she walked by me. It was so big that I could not even stand up (lucky I had a chair to sit on). I found it hard to breathe and thought I was going to die.
Anyway now I feel so faint (even though its been 4 or 5 hours since it happened). I feel also like I want to SI. And I can't stop shaking. I have never had one this big before, I guess its just a really big shock to the system. Anyway, enough of me going on about it, gonna go now.

i'm so sorry that your boss did those things to you. shame on her! try to think of some of the anxiety as relief from being away from her.

panic attacks are the pits and they do affect us hours later. i hope you have a better day today. xoxoxo pat

I feel shaky and dizzy for hours after a panic attack. Hope you're feeling much better now. Look after yourself.

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.

Thank you for replying to my post. I am still feeling the dizzy affects today.... can it last that long? Maybe I am dizzy from something else... I kind of feel like I can't get enough air into my lungs, which is horrible. Is this normal after such a big attack?

Yes I believe it is normal, I often feel the very same symptoms that you described sometimes days after a panic attack. Rest up, and do something nice for yourself, the smallest little pleasure can make a big difference! Take care and hope you feel better! Anxiety attack today, and feel strange
