Since I was a kid I remember myself having many fobias, such as darkness, shadows, and sounds of electronic devices(vacuum cleaners, watching machines etc).I think normal for these ages (3-6). I don't hide that I am still affected sometimes(I'm 17,5 now).Well, last year I got into a metaphysic site by mistake, and it scared the sh*it out of me.I've read many strange personal experiences with metaphysic phenomena and since then I am afraid that same things would happen with me! for example that I'll see someone, something etc during my sleep or sth similar like these crapy stuffs I've read. the worst thing is that I can't sleep on my own and I run into my grandmother's bedroom like a baby,or I tell to my grandmother to go to my own bedroom and I sleep in hers. I feel so ashamed about this and I can't find a solution! has anyone had the same experience? I am also ashamed to tell to my therapist.it's so difficult. What do u think happens with me? please help!

It sounds like u may have an anxiety disorder. The first thig would be to tell your therapist. There is no shame in that. I had the exact thing you did- a ton of fears growing up. I can totally relate. Now that I have a therapist and am on medication, things are SO MUCH better. If u wanna talk, message me any time!

I did have a lot of fears as a kid also. I can't relate to your specific fears, but I do have an anxiety disorder and your feelings sound familiar. I can say it's not crazy, and you don't need to feel shameful about it. I mean I know you do, but it isn't shameful in itself... I used to feel shameful about nearly everything, and I strongly recommend talking to your T about it. Thanks for posting this one here, I hope to keep hearing how you are doing!

Lol no there insanity and anxiety and way different. Insanity is when you don't realize that your thoughts don't make sense. Anxiety is when u know the fear is irrational yet u continue to have them
