Recently, well actually not recently. For the past couple of years I've had REALLY bad stress problems. It's not constant though, I'm not always stressed, it's as if it comes in waves. Right now, it's a huge wave, and I am having a lot of trouble handling it. The only person that knows I have stress problems is my girlfriend, and she doesn't even know how bad it is. Sometimes it literally feels like my head is going to explode, and it's overwhelming. My girlfriend has tried to get me to talk to someone about it numerous times, and I haven't, and I'm still not planning to. It might help if I do, but there's no one that I'm even close to comfortable talking to about it. I don't know what to do, it's driving me crazy.

I understand that it is hard to talk about it with a T, but it is your best chance of getting a handle on things. You are not alone, and many many people are under a great deal of stress right now. It is not only important for your emotional well-being but also for your body and mind. Severe stress causes all sorts of ailments that you definitely want to nip in the bud before it becomes serious illness.
In the meantime, please continue to post here and feel free to write, share, vent, etc. We are here. Best wishes to you. |

Rose is right. What you and your T talk about is private, and it can be really helpful to have someone you can talk to. It's between you and him/her. I really hope you seek one out and find the right one for you.
Good luck to you.
