Hi everyone! I found this site on Friday and have been hooked. I have an app't tomorrow with my doctor to discuss my meds which currently are Lexapro, Lamictal and Klonopin. I have been in treatment for years and have been on Prozac, Anafranil, Zoloft, Luvox, Celexa and Lexapro which has worked best for my OCD but now lately I am experiencing a lot of OCD activity. I have many intrusive thoughts that either evoke germs and filth or bad scenes from my childhood during which I was abused by the my father. I also went through a couple of paranoid episodes where I though I was being followed, listened to etc. So I was on Risperdal for a long time and then Abilify which I quit because I kept collapsing when I stood up. I am wondering if there are any newer drugs that fight OCD yet. I mainly keep going to my doctor to get the Klonopin which is the only med that helps.
Has anyone tried a drug combo without a SSRI to treat OCD?

welcome.........i'm not familiar with OCD meds, per se, but i take xanax when i can't quit cleaning and arranging......i'm sure that others here will have ideas for you.........xoxoxo pat

Hi Lilac,

I have OCD, and I take Luvox and Klonopin right now. It works pretty well for me, other than being sleepy all the time (from the Klonopin). I won't complain about that though, because the Klonopin is the only thing that has helped my nerves any at all. I used to be on Luvox and Risperdal, but I was taken off of the Risperdal because I had a reaction to it. Those are the only meds that I have tried. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
