I think i may be developing agoraphobia
I never want to leave the house and i get anxious days ahead of appointments... i feel safe in my room, there's no reason to leave it...... i am anxious when i step outside my house unless its briefly to pick up a package or something........ My therapist said i don't want to leave the house or do anything because i'm just depressed but there's no anxiety involved with it in depression is there? My dad had to practically drag me to music lessons yesterday.. i felt fine once i was in the lessons, even had fun... but i wanted to go home immediately after they were over and was very anxious about it...
I took an agoraphobia screening test from psymed.info (are they legit?) and they said i had severe agoraphobia and should see a doctor. probably cause i have a panic attack more than once a day...

Anyway does this sound like agoraphobia or something else?

I'm not an expert on agoraphobia and there are probably levels of agoraphobia but if you went out and felt fine and had fun then I think it isn't that likely that you have it.
Yes I think depression and anxiety frequently are interconnected.

Yes, I understood what you said. How do you feel about the possibility of being agoraphobic?
In other posts you've mentioned mentioned schizophrenia with a mood disorder essentially), ADHD combined type, Asperger's Syndrome, and Borderline Personality Disorder along with depression and anxiety and hearing voices. You've mentioned a lot of meds although it wasn't clear whether you were still taking all of them.

I'm on zyprexa, gabapentin, concerta, topamax, klonopin, plaquenil, trazodone, inderal, and sprintec i'm not sure if that's all of them also a vitamin d2 and b-12. some of those are for medical conditionsi'm worried about having agoraphobia but i do think i have it, maybe i just need my klonopin upped, i am still having multiple panic attacks a day.

And its schizoaffective that i have, depression and mood disorder fall under that. (including ADHD combined type, asperger's and borderline) apparently the anxiety comes from the borderline........

i read more about agoraphobia and its about the fear of having panic attacks in public places, i'm just afraid of leaving my house....... of being out of my house until i get to the place i'm going and even then sometimes i'm still afraid there too. what is that called? I don't know why i'm afraid...
this started off with being afraid to take walks around my neighborhood because in a period of 2 months i heard gunshots on 2 separate occasions and had to call the police....... perhaps that triggered this?

You are on a lot of meds. Maybe you are being debilitated by them?

With a combination like that how can they possibly know what's going on. Have you considered your real problem is actually biochemically caused by the medication? Are you a victim by your psychiatrist. Someone's "cash cow"?

Did they ever consider lowering your medication or do they just keep piling it on?

I think if they never lowered it or even considered it you are in a bit of trouble.

Here's what would do. Research each one of your medications. Find out which ones are stimulating you too much. The cogentin for example and have them lowered.

I just cut my wellbutrin by half and i am finding it substantially much much easier to go outside as of yesterday. I feel more loose. The cogentin has that same kind of effect according to wikipedia.

Don't be a victim of this systemic problem that is happening. You are the guardian of what you put into your body.

It also looks like gabapentin kills all feelings. Looks like another problem to me.

Are you missing your libido? If you have no libido I would consider that another issue.

I feel the same way you do. I hate leaving the house and just preparing to leave causes stress and anxiety. My therapist is having me get out of the house by walking to my store around the corner. To dessitize me . I would venture its a form of agoraphobia. I am able to make it t0 therapy but still stress in leaving house
