6 men just left my apt. Contractors to clean the windows. Last year there were only 2 men. I am trying to chill out.... they have been gone about 5 mins... but that fight/flight thingy will not shut off.
It was definitely made worse when they cracked one pane of glass. When I just went to put the shades just right, put the windows up for the fresh air, 2 windows will not stay up now.
Called the apt manager... she says will do a work order. I hope they can take care of this soon. The regular maintenance guys I feel comfortable with.
But I feel like my place has been violated... all those men. I am gonna smudge the apt see if that helps.

just smudged, noticed they put a good sized hole in 1 of the screens! ... and the thought that they were in my bedroom.... made it worse.
Need to reclaim my safe place. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hope you were able to get the windows fixed and reclaim a feeling of safety. It's so scary when that's violated.

There is still one window that needs to be replaced, they measured it last Friday, so hopefully it will be taken care of soon.
The apartment feels safe again. With lots of smudging, and cleaning... even some reorganizing I reclaimed it.
