Hi, I don't think I've ever had all the symptoms of a panic attack before but at the beginning of a confrontation with a friend some time ago, I felt nausea and shaking and the nausea increased until I threw up in the bathroom.. Is that a panic attack?

Could be. Nausea gets to me a lot when I am anxious. I used to always throw up during panic attacks until I realized it was not a stomach sickness but anxiety, so I hold the feeling back.

I'm not sure if it is a panic attack as much as fear. Being in a confrontation is pretty stressful and most people would feel sick during or after any type of confrontation.

I suffer from panic attacks and nausea is definitely something that happens to me but my attacks aren't really triggered by a certain thing they just happen spontaneously or if I over think a situation and my brain is telling me that everything is hopeless.

That's called being triggered.

Also, a lot of "untriggered" panic attacks, IMHO, can have a unnoticed trigger: lack of sleep, stress, etc

Well, when I don't get enough sleep, I tend to throw up as well.. And that confrontation was mostly me ignoring my friend and her trying to get me to forgive her..

Have you seen your doctor about this? Starting to sound like it's common for you to throw up after upsetting, confrontational situations.

No.. I always just tell my mom that I didn't get enough sleep.. Which is also true.. I expected the confrontations, even dreaded it so I didn't sleep much the day before

Every time I have an unexpected pop quiz to take for any of my school classes I get nervous, nausea in my stomach area, sweaty palms, and some times an awlful nagging headache, and I panic beginning in a confrontation whenever this is of sudden thing to happen to me.

I pray that confrontations will get better for everyone.( based on my background teaching instilled in me as a child).
