Freaking out! I have a very difficult time in cars. But it is going to be doubly so on Thursday! The person that is driving me... is older (80's) and tends to make me sea-sick with the swaying from sided to side. Not to mention that very recently this driver almost got in 2 different accidents with me as a passenger.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

That's rough. I assume there's no other transportation option for whatever you have going on? Do you have any breathing techniques or anything you can use to stay calm?

Yes I do have quite a few different distraction/grounding breathing exercises to utilize, will have my bag full of what I call fidgets.. thing to keep my hands busy. The reason for this long ride is to see my ear surgeon... my ear is acting up again... this time, just for fun my body decided to let my ear screw up my balance rather than just having pain. So I can't use my Ipod which is my number one go to distraction But even with all these distraction techniques I have ... it is still going to be a scary ride... 3 hours to and 3 hours back....
There is a jack hammer being used across the street right now... and it is hurting my ear so much that I want to go out there and just take it from them and kill the damn machine!

I'm glad you have a lot of techniques in place. Sorry you can't use you iPod. Sorry you are having so much trouble with your ear. Hope the surgeon can help. Take care.

Sorry you may have to have another surgery and go back in two weeks. Glad you made it through the long drive. Take care of yourself in the next couple of weeks so you will be strong to do it again.
