Today I'm mostly ok but the one thing that is causing anxiety is my frequent worry, "do I have cancer?" See, I'm 38 and I smoke. I have since I was 14 or so. Smoking helps with my anxiety (wish it didn't, it'd be easier to quit) but it also causes a lot of anxiety. Day after day if I feel anything wrong I worry that it's cancer. This worry can absolutely destroy a whole day if I don't get it under control.
So that's where I'm at today. I'll be fine, just thought I'd share. Cyrano

I know what you say about smoking helping your anxiety. it is why I smoke to. it forces me to breathe. Have you tried the electronic cigarettes? I used it for three months with great success, it was really easy to switch over, but then I started smoking again...gotta switch back again..i hope you do better getting your worry under control. I know how hard it is. anxiety is the one thing making my life difficult right now.

Thanks Kaliope. I have tried ecigs but I don't know, they just aren't catching on for me. Somehow they don't do the same thing for me. That and (ironically I suppose) I worry that a cartridge is going to leak and cause me to overdose on nicotine. I know, I know, only an anxiety sufferer would come up with that one.
