Does anyone else shake really bad when they're nervous? My whole head, arms legs everything shakes horribly when I'm extremely nervous. Breathing techniques don't even help. I wasn't panicking, just couldn't stop shaking.

I had an opportunity for a job today,it was open interviews and I started shaking so badly that other people there for the interviews as well started talking about me It was probably one of the most embarrassing experiences I've had. I couldn't even write my name down I was shaking so much. I just dropped the pen and ran out and started crying on my way home. It seems like it's so easy for everyone else to just get up and go to an interview, I don't know why I'm like this. It scares me to think I can't even get a job because of this

Blue_Bird use the search function on this website for shake or shaking, if you need some feedback from what others have posted in the past. Take care.

Don't come to this forum often but thought I'd respond.
Shaking is one of the main things I still deal with when an
anxiety attack is starting/happening.
Have had these for a looong time.
Situational things can trigger or will happen for no apparent reason.
The deep breathing works well for me now, also meds.
But sometimes nothing works. Not working has helped.
You're not alone. That goes for the crying too.
Take care.

I frequently shake. I just always have. I'm lucky, it's not terribly visible unless someone is looking at my hands. If someone does notice I claim I had too much coffee.

I'm sorry it's interfering with your job hunt. That sucks.

I am sorry that you were so anxious that you had to leave the job interview. Shaking is a symptom of anxiety. Don't beat yourself up over it. I cant even go through a drive thru restaurant my anxiety is so bad. See a doctor about getting some anxiety medication to help you through important times like this. take care

Thanks for the replies everyone, I was really upset over it but then I realized I was actually making some progress because I left my house and at least tried to go in, I wouldn't have done even that a month ago. I will try again at some point and will definitely talk to my doctor about it at my next appointment

I'm sorry that happened to you Blue Bird. I actually had to quit my job because I was shaking so bad. It was too much pressure for me, so I had to leave. I would shake in the middle of doing tasks that I would have been able to do 10 years ago with no problem.

My pdoc changed up my meds a little but I haven't tried to look for another job yet. I honestly don't know what I am going to do. You're not alone

BlueBird that's an excellent appraisal of your situation. You ARE making progress and that you realized that is great!

when i get anxiety i shake uncontrollably too. what ive found helps is just putting all the shaking pressure in one of my legs and shaking it extremely violently. it may look crazy but atleast its one leg shaking instead of my entire body. i also find rocking back and forth helps really well. i know it may not be the best thing to do while in line for a job interview, but its better than entire body tremors.either way, good luck and hope your anxiety improves.
