Thing is... I can't sleep when am at bfs house or even sometimes at all in my own home. I keep getting no caller Id phone calls in middle of night and it's driving me mad thinking my stalker is back.the stalker lives not far from my boyfriends house and so I worry every time am there that he will start again but I know it's silly n he's prob moved on after his restraint order. It's killing me cos I wake in middle of night ( if I am asleep) and have extreme panic attacks. My bf doesn't understand and it hurts but I know it's Cos he's tired an this generally happens at 3am or something..... Xxx any ideas how to destress without waking him ????

Sorry hun, no real ideas for you. I am awake every night between 2-3 am and that is not fun. I turn my phone off at night, maybe that is something you could try.

I also was going to suggest turning off the phone. Or using a "Do Not Disturb" feature.

Wish I had suggestions besides medications...have you ever thought about learning meditation? I have heard great things and that is something easy you could do in the middle of the night to calm down. Xxxxxxxx :*

I have nighttime panic too, I avoid sleep until I'm too exhausted to function then sleep then panic and it all starts over. I wish I could help or give you advice.

That's true, turning off the phone will not, by itself, automatically stop anxiety.
However, it will stop those triggering, no caller ID phone calls that are so upsetting in the middle of the night. |
