3 years ago in April will be the mark of when my panic started, since then it's been a rollercoaster of chaos. Trying med's, getting blood work as I was sure there was something physically wrong with me, symptoms changing, mood issues, fatigue, depression, hit the relationship pretty hard, avoidance, and loss of independence.
I have to know this gets better, has anyone had several anxiety disorders and depression but was able to get better without med's? i'm not against them i'm just scared of them. literal panic after anytime I try something, longest I took a ssri was a year. I can do deep breathing right before bed, get all relaxed but still in the morning I wake up with this gruesome anxiety that sticks with me all day... finally by evening most days it's at it's best. I'm exhausted How do you all manage? What was the most helpful technique for self help you've tried?

For me therapy and meds. Benzos help more than antidepressants. I'm sorry that is probably not what you want to hear but we are all different. So keep that in mind, different things work for everyone. I like to talk about issues. I'm very auditory so it help me to hear it out loud.
I also journal, do deep breathing and combat negative thoughts with positive thoughts. Every day is very hard.

Have you tried CBT? It was the absolute best thing for my anxiety. Hard work but it pays off. Have you tried to meditate in the morning? Deep breathing as soon as you open your eyes or going back to relax after breakfast? Are there any scents that calm you? Can you have them around first thing in the morning? Does exercise help your anxiety? Maybe doing some morning exercise could help keep it under control during the day. Hope this helps.

I will get out my self help books, therapy has been good but I think the exercises in the books can offer more if I just stick with it, feeling pretty down with negative self talk that's blabbing in my head all day today, monthly doesn't help much with all the crazy hormones! Hope you guys feel better and thank you for the replies!!!
