Does anybody else use music as a tool of empowerment in working to deal with their anxiety "in the moment"?

When driving with anxiety, I find that certain songs on the radio help lift my mood, and in an odd way help me work through and (sometimes) decrease my anxiety.

One of my most recent songs:

Some songs do make me feel okay "in the moment." I don't know how to post videos but the song Rude by Magic does it for me right now.

Yes, it's a really good song. Have you seen this lyric video for that song. I think it's really entertaining to watch!

Hello Birds of a Feather, I really like Chandelier! I think Sia is amazing! Have you heard Elastic Heart?! It's an awesome song as well!

Hello Pisces22, I love that song!

Here's a song that helps me sometimes

I've been trying to sing along to my favorite band Sigur Ros and Jonsi, they're singer who also has a solo lp. I find singing to be a stress release and thought I'd try it as I've really been struggling lately and haven't sang in ages. Here's my favorite by him - sang this through a couple times this morning, and it's a really positive song, too:

Yeah. Playing the guitar helps me, for sure; it's like part of my body, now.

I always put on "Sailing" by Christopher Cross for some reason. It keeps me calm! Also playing the piano really helps me.

I definitely have found music helps me a lot with my anxiety. Quite often if I'm getting pretty anxious while out somewhere I'll put earbuds in and listen to some music on my cellphone and I find it helps me a good bit. I also get the added bonus of people not trying to talk to me because they can see I'm listen to something.

I'm into a lot of Korean and Japanese pop music, this is one of my favorite songs at the moment:

Yes! Music helps me in so many ways. Going to concerts is my way to escape reality. It gives me a couple hours of pure bliss.
This song almost always can help my mood: "Brave" by Action Item. I tried to post the link, but it wouldn't let me since I'm new here and haven't made "10 or greater" posts yet. But I highly suggesting looking it up on YouTube

If you check it out, really listen to the lyrics. So inspiring and really uplifting.

HI. I find music to be therapeutic for me, whether listening, singing or dancing to it. I used to like writing songs as well. I composed own song for Music GCSE. I still have notebooks of songs ive written in past. At moment I'm more into singing and I go to this minfulness, meditative type of dance which is really great.
