I have suffered from ED and OCD now for about 12yrs. I was doing well for a few years but now it is worse than ever. I have noticed myself counting everything doing rituals all the time now. My boss has even asked what was going on. I don't know how to control any of it anymore. Everything I do has to be a certain way and in mutliples of 4. I can't stand it anymore.....i am losing it fast. this came on so sudden and is getting more and more intense. It is all i think about. Anyone have suggestions. the walls are closing in

(((((( mt ))))))

Have you told your doc yet about all this? Are you on meds now? If so, maybe they need to be adjusted? Are you in therapy? If not, maybe some would help?

Hope you find relief soon!

My OCD got really triggered this year, for no reason that I know of, and got out of control again. My T and doc put me on meds and despite some side effects lately they've been working really well. I don't know what happened except that I needed help and meds seems to be what I needed. It has helped so much and it feels like I'm starting to have my life back again.

Have you considered medication as an option. I don't want to push you if you dont want it, but I did want to let you know that it has really helped me.

Good luck
I hope things get better

Hllo I am sorry you are going through this at this time. A therapist and meds can help tremendously. There are many new medicaitons out at this time for OCD. Psisci (Dr Wylie) here at Psych central can further direct you to what medications are available for you at this time. You are more than welcome to PM Psisci or leave a message for him in the Drug forum at Psych Central. I truly feel your best option is professional treatment at this time. I hope the best for you welcome to Psych Central. Soidhonia.
