I'm a single mother and full-time student studying for a career in the health field. I'm now going on 1 1/2 years and the stress has finally caught up to me. The attacks are debilitating and I wonder if I'll ever be able to finish my education. I have 3 years left and am very nervous to move out of my state where my training must take place; causes me to have attacks just thinking about it. I have seen my doctor and has prescribed xanax which does help, but am afraid of being to dependent on it. Will see her tomorrow again.

Hi,

I wish I could offer you some advice on the medication or otherwise... perhaps some people who are farther along might be better able than me to do that. For now, just want to send you a message to let you know that I'm thinking of you and I understand. Every message I read on this site hits home. This is hard. At least we know that there are people who understand how hard and how real this is. Hang in!
