My anxiety/fear of people rules my life and I would like to meet people who understand it. I feel I am ready to join a support group in my area. I googled my area and cannot locate one. If you are a member of a support group in your area, how did you find it?
Thanks for your help.

I am not a member of a support group but I have a suggestion. Go to the local hospitals and ask. Many of them have groups advertised in their elevators and on their bulletin boards.

You could also checkout: http://www.nami.org

National Alliance Mental Health.
They have support groups within your state. It helped me connect with others.
