I get so stressed about things, and the anxiety just goes on for days and days until I collapse. Then I need about 2 days of rest to get my energy back. I slept from 10pm last night till 6pm today and I am still tired.

I'm sure it might sound like mania & depression, but bipolar disorder has been ruled out.

(((freespirit37))) Lack of energy is a symptom of anxiety and depression. It must be exhausting to deal with anxiety for prolonged periods of time. I'm glad you could get some rest. Perhaps you need your prescribing doctor to adjust your Vistaril dosage or change it. One of the adverse effects of this drug is agitation. Are you experiencing agitation with your anxiety. Do you think the Vistaril is working for you?
Thanks for this!

Yes I am experiencing agitation, and no I don't think the Vistiril is working. I go to the doctor on Wed and I'll discuss it with her then. Thanks

I hope you feel better, stress and anxiety are very overwhelming emotions when you let them control you...I say that..hum..well I know sometimes I get to a point I have such a hard time calming down..I can feel like a teapot about to explode because there just too much building up. I hope all goes well.
Thanks for this!

I have severe anxiety as you do. What about perhaps asking your Pdoc for some type of Benzo just to calm you a bit? I am not a doctor, but without my Klonopin hlping me, I would be lost. You do have to be careful with Benzo's, take the doe prescribed unless your doctor says to take more. Best of luck today
Thanks for this!

Hi pnw1, that's the problem, I was taken off Klonopin in Dec because I told my doctor I had quit drinking and was in AA. I had taken Klonopin for 8 years and I don't know how to function without it. I quit my job that month and tried self-employment, but didn't make enough money (was cycling through mood swings for days over things that happened at AA) and then was evicted a week ago. Now I'm in a residential treatment center. Needless to say, I'm a little pissed. I've been trying my best to do what is right and look what happened.
