Well I guess I made it up. So I googled it.

Here is what I found

Well no way did I mean that. what I was thinking in my slightly manic state is that someone who is living under a cloud should have people hoping for sunshine for them, thus he was on my hoping for sunshine list.

Hope I did not throw you for a loop.(surprise or astonish someone; catch someone off guard.)
