I got in to see a T today at 3 PM and we had a good opening chat. She asked some really good questions and I think she's a keeper. I was suprised to hear that she doesn't think I have ADD because she said you have to get it as a child. Does anyone know whether that's true or not? I thought there was adult onset ADD? No? She said even though I have all the symptoms, it could be anxiety. I hope so because I am afraid of the meds for ADD. I also made an appt w/ a med management doc for June 8th, so we'll see where that goes.

I can't wait to get my anxiety under control and get back on an OCD med. I feel sometimes like my head's gonna pop off and hop around by itself like the jumping bean that it is!! But it felt really good to talk to a T again and get started on the road to self-improvement.

I want to thank all of you for your feedback and support. It rocks to know I have this strong network of caring friends in a little square box on my desk that I can call on at any hour and talk to. I think we should all take a moment to feel gratitude that we own computers and that the internet evolved to be such an amazing resource and helpful tool.

-k.

HI kelbelle

It's good that you found a T that you are comfortable with. As for ADD only happening in children, or starting off that way? I'm not too sure, I haven't really done research on that, because I never had that, but I can try and find some information if you like.

Good luck on your healing journey.
