Does anyone here get heart palpitations after an anxiety attack? If yes, how bad do they get?

When I get anxious, I start sweating, start getting that weird feeling in the stomach, my feet become extremely cold, start feeling extremely weak like I need to sit down or I'll faint AND I get crazy palpitations. It gets so bad that my heart actually starts to ache. Does this happen to anyone else?

I don't have those kind of palps but maybe try some deep breathing exercises when this happens. slow deep breathes in thru your nose and slowly out your mouth. works for me at times.

my anxiety/panic attacks are so bad I feel like I am having a heart attack, which has sent me to the hospital many times in fear.... the palpitations are awful.... strong, fast, and make me feel breathless.... anxiety bites!

oh I can so relate...palpitations I get them all the time. They were the first thing that started with me down this awful road of anxiety..apparently there harmless at least mine are. My dr. gives me a beta blocker to supposedly stop them but I still get them now and then. I to ended up in the E.R and yes my chest aches after when they get bad..but I think it's from the breathing not my heart that makes my chest sore. Take care

Yes, palpitations are all part of anxiety, and although they feel scarey, the key is to know they are just part of the anxiety attack and go with it. Deep breathing into the belly is also helpful, really concentrate on the breath.
