Have you been awaken from your sleep due to anxiety? I can usually fall asleep but not stay asleep. I was woke up by heavy breathing, and my chest felt like someone was sitting on it and I was crying. Do you try to go back to sleep once you have been able to calm down or do you stay awake for fear of the same thing happening again. My depression and anxiety are both at an all time high and I am very afraid. I am experiencing things that I have never experienced before.

Thank you!😳

I have been awakened by anxiety many a time. Fortunately, the meds I'm now taking are helping me a lot. When I was awakened by anxiety I'd try to go back to sleep.

Every once in a while I'll wake up and my heart is racing and I feel extremely anxious. I'm usually able to fall back to sleep fairly quickly though.

These side effects usually disappear in a month. if not then talk to your doctor about changing your meds.

A trick i use to fall asleep, close your eyes and count every breath you take. if you loose count, start again. you'll be sleeping in no time. Trust me.

Have you tried to take a nice warm relaxing bath before bed? Is your room completely dark?
Do you have a favorite blanket or comforter to wrap yourself in? It's kind of symbolic, but it helps me.

Yep, it tends to happen about once a week or so for me.
