So I'm going to a concert, I'm very excited but I feel scared. Like my friend and cousin will leave me at the venue, my ticket will get lost, my phone's battery will be drained then I wouldn't have something to contact people I know when something bad happens... I don't know what to do and I'm having sleepless nights just thinking about it. I can't calm down

Take a few deep breaths and let them out slow. You are going to have a blast at the concert. I don't think they would leave you, unless they have done it before. Then that would be different. Enjoy yourself!

This is catastrophic thinking. There are great worksheets on line for working through this.
https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&sourc...gQ5l9fJcNaqgag Part of the work in the sheet is to make a plan for the worst case scenario but an even bigger part of the worksheet is to step back and realise what is most likely to occur. I use this decatastrophising method all the time |
