I become so anxious around people, that I cannot look in their eyes. In return people treat me as if I'm rude to them, which makes me feel worse. This is so true with cashiers especially.

I'm tired of people who don't excuse and feel sympathy with others. Yes, sometimes I pretend to be strong and tough, but this just to hide my weakness and preserve my pride in front of people.

People have some expectations of you, and if you don't fulfill them, then you don't belong.

This has been the story of my life: have never belonged.

I think we all need to have more empathy for others. Judging people is easy but hurtful. If we could all just put ourselves in other people's shoes the world would be a better place.

I'm sorry I don't have any cure, but I do have same problem... Many people have no problem connecting each other, and they think I'm just extreme shy. But I am afraid of people, talk to them, or just spend time with them. They don't understand why I'm so quiet, and they believe I'm just not interested in them.

I really understand how you feel. I sometimes try to pretend as if I'm OK, but I'm shaking inside and have panic attack afterwards.

I really wish someone has tips for that.

Same for me throughout these past 60 years, but that does not mean there truly is no place for us or that we must stop breathing. As lonely as I have felt at times, I have still been able to go places and do things just like anyone else and while occasionally meeting and enjoying the company of others like ourselves along the way.

I used to go out alone and enjoy a movie or a walk, but with time I felt I'm different. All people are in pairs or groups except me. So, now I just stay at home mainly if I'm not working or buying something necessary. Of course no one cares. Why should they?
