I have ranted about this before. So I'm sorry.

I had a panic attack that my (walk in place) couldn't see me for because it would be a 2 hour wait. I went to the ER because I couldn't breathe and let's just say it was bad
Today, I wanted to go to get some kind of medication that would work for me. It would have been great as I could get myself (mentally) to the doctors at that moment and (for a change) I wasn't crying.

So I got there when the doors opened. I was told it would be an hour and a half wait. So I left. When I walked in the door at home my husband could see that I had been in tears on the drive home and so he called to find out what happened and to explain my problem. She told him, basically, too bad. Go to the ER.

I don't get what I'm supposed to do here....I have cancelled many appointments because of anxiety. I have to wait hours at home for a call back to come in. Or I can wait an hour and a half in the office.

It's all really tragic.

I am so sorry. I know how that feels. I went to the psych ER here a couple weeks ago, after having 7 severe panic attacks in one day. I waited 3.5 hours, asked how much longer it would be to see the doctor, and was told at least 2 more hours. I left. I stopped by the liquor store (I am a recovering addict alcoholic) and then just went home. I had no way to calm down. The panic attacks wouldn't stop, but they wouldn't help me...

It really sucks when it seems like the medical system fails us, but we really need to stand up for ourselves and what we need. They won't understand, unless we do.

Yes frustrating, but I want to point out that 1 1/2 - 2 hrs is not a long wait. For walk in here the wait is about 4 hours. The last time I went to the ER it was 12 hrs until they called me in then an additional 17 hrs before they attended to me.

Oh wow, I would be furious by that point!

Yeah, in a way, I've kinda been there. It royally sucks. Like looking through a window and seeing the world out there, but you're stuck inside a prison of anxiety. Are you able to get a house call? Is it possible for you to speak to them on the phone? Could your husband get you medication from the doctor on your behalf, which could help with the anxiety just enough to get to the doctors and seek in-person help? You may have to go the self-help route until you're up to it. Thankfully, PC is here!

An hour and a half is a long wait if you are the first patient in the door.
No other patients were there...I take up exactly 5 minutes....

They have a doctor that just takes appointments, The others see walk ins.

I'm really sorry you had such a long wait. I don't think you should stand for it.
