Can't drink coffee coz of Gerd issues, courtesy of anxiety. Since doc told me that coffee, tea, is a no-no, I was wondering what if just take Caffiene pills? How do you (ppl with gerd) get your java fix?

Why would you want to take caffeine if you have anxiety? Caffeine increases that....

I also have depression. Which drains me off all and any energy I have. A lot of people I interact in here suggest getting a prescription stimulant, like ritalin, adderall,.. but my doc is hesitant to prescribe it to me. Not coz she believes it'll add to my anxiety, ( which it may or may not, I know that), but coz she just believes that adhd meds should only be used for adhd patients exclusively. So I'm just looking to get any help I can. If it does add to my anxiety, i'll stop taking it immediately.

I take caffeine pills that I order from Amazon. I suffer from severe depression and I have very low energy as well. The problem is that I also have pretty bad anxiety and these pills jack that up when I use them so it's a fine line to walk...just enough but not too many. I've overdone it in the past and had flat out anxiety and panic attacks. It's too bad that your doctor doesn't believe in Ritalin or Adderall because these don't cause anxiety for me. It just gives me energy. Is your doctor doing a no caffeine thing or is there some other reason for no coffee or tea? I have GERD issues but have not been told to lay off coffee or tea. I take omeperazole for that. It does a good job. Best wishes.
